What’s Infrastructure is a growing provider of infrastructure services to business and governmental entities, enabling them to achieve higher productivity and lower cost.
The company was founded in 2000 by former IBM vice president of network and software services Jim Roesch, who left IBM in 2009 to join Brookfield as CEO in 2012.
Brookfield acquired infrastructure software provider OpenStack from Cisco in 2013 and has since expanded its offerings to include network and storage services.
In February, Brookfield announced it had entered the $1 billion cloud computing market.
Brookfield has a portfolio of enterprise services including cloud services, virtual private networks, and data center virtualization, and has signed deals with Microsoft, HP, Cisco, Dell, Huawei, and VMware.
Brookgell also sells its own software solutions.
Brookfields infrastructure is powered by VMware, IBM Cloud, and OpenStack.
